- Hold accredited personal licence qualification
- No relevant criminal convictions

- Applying to work in a premises licensed under the Licensing (Scotland) Act 2005
Training Complete an accredited Personal Licence Holder course (Level 2) Complete an accredited personal licence course approved in Scotland
Documents Needed - Completed application form (local council)
- Disclosure of convictions & declaration
- Two passport-style photos (one certified)
- Basic Disclosure certificate (DBS)
- Licence qualification certificate
- Proof of right to work
- Completed application form (local council/licensing board)
- Licence qualification certificate
- Two passport-style photos
- Proof of identity & age
- Declaration of convictions
Submission Submit to local council where you live, Submit to local council licensing board where you work, fee varies
Consultation Council may consult police Council/licensing board may consult Police Scotland
Decision Licence issued if approved, notify council of changes to name/address Licence issued if approved, notify licensing board of changes to details
Validity & Use Personal Licence allows acting as Designated Premises Supervisor (DPS) Personal Licence allows acting as Designated Premises Manager (DPM)
